勵志歌曲《逐光》由聖公會聖本德中學吳頌謙同學、黃建豪同學，以及梁式芝書院温星兒同學、蔡穎恩同學演唱，並錄製音樂錄像，為2025年香港中學文憑試考生打氣。為準備這次演出，四位「我寫我歌」音樂比賽的得獎學生獲得參與流行歌唱課程的機會，在專業聲樂導師的指導下提升歌唱技巧。負責填詞的林巧晴同學、張珈榕同學及簡芯怡同學亦獲邀參與歌詞創作課程，在專業填詞人的指導下加強填詞能力。

於2023/24學年，教育局藝術教育組與英國語文教育組合辦「我寫我歌」音樂比賽，鼓勵中小學生為委約旋律填上中文或英文歌詞，並演唱歌曲，以促進跨課程語文學習及跨學科協作，豐富學生在英國語文、中國語文和音樂的學習經歷，以及培養他們正確的價值觀和態度。

This motivational song, performed by NG Chung-him, and WONG Kin-ho of S.K.H. St. Benedict’s School, and WAN Sing-yee, Starry, and CHOY Wing-yan, Natalie of Leung Shek Chee College, is produced to cheer for the 2025 HKDSE Examination candidates. In preparation for this performance, a pop singing programme was offered to these students, who were the winners of the “We Write ‧ We Sing” Music Competition, to refine their singing skills under the guidance of a professional vocal coach. LAM Hau-ching, CHEUNG Ka-yung and JIAN Xinyi, who wrote the lyrics of the song, were also invited to participate in a lyrics writing programme conducted by a professional lyricist to enhance their lyrics writing skills.

The “We Write ‧ We Sing” Music Competition was a student activity co-organised by the Arts Education Section and English Language Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute, the Education Bureau in the 2023/24 school year. This competition aims to encourage primary and secondary students to write lyrics in Chinese or English for a commissioned melody and perform their songs. The competition also aims at enriching students’ English, Chinese and music learning experiences, promoting Language across the Curriculum and cross-curricular collaboration in schools, as well as nurturing proper values and attitudes in students.
