高中四個核心科目(即中國語文、英國語文、數學、公民與社會發展科以代替通識教育科)的優化措施將於二○二一/二二學年在中四級開始實施。公民與社會發展科將代替通識教育科,仍為高中的核心科目,課程內容及課時會作出削減。聯同其他三個高中核心科目的優化方案,可望為學生製造空間及更適切地照顧學生的多樣性。為讓各持份者(例如學生、家長)了解優化措施,教育局課程發展處特別為此製作了五套短片,深入淺出地介紹背後理念和具體安排,當中有學界和家長代表分享對優化措施的心聲。
The optimising measures of the Four Senior Secondary (SS) Core Subjects (Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, Citizenship and Social Development) will be implemented at Secondary 4 in the 2021/2022 school year. The curriculum of Citizenship and Social Development in lieu of LS, will still be a SS core subject, while the curriculum content and lesson time will be reduced. It is hoped that the optimising measure of the subject, together with those of the other three SS core subjects, will create space for students and better address learner diversity. Five videos produced by the Curriculum Development Institute of Education Bureau aim to explicate the rationale and arrangements, so as to facilitate different stakeholders’ (e.g. students, parents) understanding of the optimising measures. Representatives of parents and the education sector are invited to share their views in the videos.
