培僑小學進行了一個名為「斤斤計較」的STEM(科學、科技、工程及數學)活動。學生設計並製作量重工具，再找出誤差最小的設計。除手腦並用地解難外，學生亦在中文大學湯兆昇博士的講解下，初步認識準確、精確、誤差、校準等概念。本資源記載的雖是一所小學的經驗，但有關題材隨著學生對準確、精確、誤差、校準等概念的逐步掌握；對材料的性質、不同力學原理，以及用工具動手解難能力的提升，亦很適用於在初中，甚至高中推動STEM教育。本資源附活動工作紙和提問建議等資料，供教師參考。
