設計師在工作室裏製作立體圖形時，發覺工作室來了一個四角柱體和一個三角錐體。原來他們來自立體圖形村，想向設計師請教有關立體圖形的概念。設計師先讓他們認識立體圖形中的頂、棱和面，再跟他們一起探究柱體和錐體的頂、棱、面的數目跟底邊數目的關係。
