"Secrets of the Great Wall" is an English audio drama developed for the multimodal learning resource "English Ranger: The Cultural Heritage Quest" (
https://www.edb.gov.hk/EnglishRanger). Through completing a series of missions centred on the Great Wall of China, students explore cultural heritage and develop a sense of national identity; use the four English language skills creatively and purposefully; and are encouraged to take responsibility for preserving cultural heritage and safeguarding national security.
In this episode, Sophie and Charlie meet Uncle Wang, a restorer and protector of the Great Wall. As the story unfolds, students learn how traditional craftsmanship and modern technologies work together behind the scenes to preserve the Great Wall.
