“Fantastic People” video series provides resource materials for primary
teachers to introduce the suggested module “We Love Hong Kong” and the theme
“Special People” in the ELE KLA.
In this episode, Ms Yu Chui Yee Alison, an outstanding athlete with physical disabilities, talked about her childhood experience of facing bone cancer, and shared her insights on facing challenges with an optimistic mind and being grateful to the people who supported her. Alison had an amputation of her left leg when she was only eleven. Nevertheless, she faced all the challenges positively, and with determination and perspiration, she won 11 medals in the Paralympic Games as a wheelchair fencer.
