This programme aims at arousing pupils’ interest in a common food, potatoes and enables pupils to find out more about potatoes. There are two poems in the programme, one about potatoes and another one about potato chips. These poems not only enable pupils to expand their vocabulary on these two common types of food but to increase their sensitivity on common things around them. Pupils are introduced to topics like how potatoes are grown, the different types of food that potatoes can cook, how potato chips are invented and how potato chips are made in factories nowadays. Pupils are also encouraged to develop their creativity by seeing how a group of pupils carving different human faces out of potatoes at the end of the programme.
