We are inventors! (English subtitles available)

Do you know any inventors? Would you like to know more about them? Listen to Thomas Edison, the famous inventor of the light bulb. He tells us a story about two young inventors, Robin and Kylie. They are brother and sister. Both of them are interested in making something new to enter an Invention Contest. Although they do not know how to start at first, they finally have some ideas after visiting a display centre. Also, they have the help from the notebook of the winner of the last contest. The notebook is about the steps of making new things. Robin and Kylie follow the steps. First, they do their research. Then, they talk to people to get more ideas. Next, they write their plans and finally they make their own inventions. What are their inventions? Kylie makes a new pencil that does not easily roll off. Robin makes some good changes to three things at home- the fish feeder, the pet feeder and the watering can. He makes them work at regular intervals.
