“Engineers on Campus” was collaboratively organised by the Education Bureau with The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) and The Institution of Engineering and Technology Hong Kong (IETHK). Matching of engineers from these two professional bodies with schools on a one-to-one basis to provide school-based support and offer professional advice. The aim of the programme was to forge the partnership between schools and engineers of various professional fields in co-designing different learning activities. Through the exchange with the professional engineers, students were enabled to learn the connection between engineering and innovation and technology, as well as the related applications in daily life. In tandem, the programme could broaden students’ horizons in understanding engineering and enhance their motivation and interest in learning STEAM.
