高中四個核心科目（即中國語文、英國語文、數學、公民與社會發展科以代替通識教育科）的優化措施將於二○二一／二二學年在中四級開始實施。英國語文科着重創造空間，讓學校推行不同的適異措施和作彈性的跨班分組安排，有效照顧學生不同的英語學習需要和擴闊他們的英語學習經歷。為讓各持份者（例如學生、家長）了解優化措施，教育局課程發展處特別為此製作了五套短片，深入淺出地介紹背後理念和具體安排，當中有學界和家長代表分享對優化措施的心聲。

The optimising measures of the Four Senior Secondary (SS) Core Subjects (Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, Citizenship and Social Development) will be implemented at Secondary 4 in the 2021/2022 school year.  The optimisation of English Language focuses on creating space for schools to devise differentiation measures and making flexible “by class/group” arrangements to effectively address students’ diverse needs and broaden their experiences in English learning.  Five videos produced by the Curriculum Development Institute of Education Bureau aim to explicate the rationale and arrangements, so as to facilitate different stakeholders’ (e.g. students, parents) understanding of the optimising measures.  Representatives of parents and the education sector are invited to share their views in the videos.
