本資源介紹大埔舊墟公立學校推行一個STEM(科學、科技、工程及數學)活動的實況。參與製作本資源的學生經過四節活動，進入最終的分組比賽，目標是設計並製作一個量重工具，以量度重量不多於一千克的物件，量度結果誤差最小的組別為勝。活動內容雖與上集相同，但兩間學校的老師採取了不同的安排，學生的製成品亦大有不同。本資源記載的雖是一所小學的經驗，但有關題材隨著學生對準確、精確、誤差、校準等概念的逐步掌握；對材料的性質、不同力學原理，以及用工具動手解難能力的提升，亦很適用於在初中，甚至高中推動STEM教育。本資源附有是次活動的工作紙和提問建議等資料，供教師參考。
